The Child Support Agency operates the State of Wisconsin's child support program for Marinette County. This program provides for the establishment of paternity, child support orders and medical support orders, location of non-custodial parents and enforcement of those orders. Our agency has 8 employees handling over 3000 cases. These cases are divided into two groups: 2807 cases are IV-D (enforced by 5 case specialists with support from the other staff) and 805 Non-IV-D cases (not enforced but run through the statewide child support system for account calculations).
SERVICES WE PROVIDE After Application is received, the child support agency will provide case management services to you. These services may include:
Locating the other parent and his or her financial assets;
Scheduling genetic tests for the child and the potential father(s) of the child;
Preparing the papers and taking the case to court to legally identify the father and set up support order;
Ensuring that one or both parents provide health insurnace for the child(ren);
Using all available and appropriate enforcement tools to collect support owed;
Reviewing the support order, when necessary, in case it needs to be changed and;
