Radon

Radon is a naturally occurring, radioactive gas that can seep into homes from the ground or soil beneath your home. Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers and the second leading cause of lung cancer among smokers. Radon is odorless, tasteless and colorless and the only way to know if your home has high levels of radon is to test.

1 out of 10 Wisconsin homes has radon levels above the US EPA guideline of 4 pCi/L average on the main floor. Protect your family from radon today! Test kits are available for $10 at Marinette County Public Health. Please call 715-732-7670 to request a test kit.
