The Marinette County Board of Supervisors has recognized that ATV/UTV use in Marinette County is increasing. ATV/UTV routes benefit local businesses from increased sales year round. Restaurants, motels, and gas stations can see an increase in overall sales that are delivered by ATV/UTV's.
An ATV/UTV Route Request application form must be completed and submitted to the Marinette County Highway Commissioner by an ATV/UTV club, association, or County municipality. Before a highway section can be considered for designation as an ATV/UTV route, the petitioner shall demonstrate that no other option(s) exists as an off road trail. The most important route consideration is the safety of all highway users; ATV/UTV riders, pedestrians, bicyclists, motorcycles, and automobile/truck.
