Environmental Awareness Poster Contest

The Development Committee and the Land & Water Conservation is once again sponsoring the Environmental Awareness Poster Contest in cooperation with the Wisconsin Land & Water Conservation Association (WLWCA). This activity is approved and listed on the Advisory List of the Association of Wisconsin Administrators. It is held in conjunction with area and state contests. 

The theme MUST be used to be eligible for the national contest with the NACD. 

NEW FOR THIS YEAR ~ POSTER SIZE MUST BE 14" X 22" OR 12" X 18" - ANY OTHER SIZE WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

The Environmental Awareness Poster Contest has five divisions. Cash prizes are award
ed to the first three places and honorable mention in each division. All participants will receive a certificate.

Poster entries must be at the Land & Water Conservation on or before December  2024. The first place winners from the County contest will be entered in the Lake Michigan Land & Water Conservation Association area contest mid-January, 2025.  The first place winners from the area contest will be entered in the state contest in March, 2025 Winners of the state contest (who meet eligibility requirements) will be entered into the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) National Contest in 2025.  Winners of the National contest will be featured at the 2026 NACD Annual Conference in February.

The theme this year is "Home is where th Habitat is"  This theme highlights the essential role of both natural and managed habitats in our conservation efforts.
