Welcome! My name is Anne, and I am the Information & Education Specialist for the Land & Water Conservation Division. On this page you will find links to the various educational programs we offer, available media resources, special events, and other related information. In the menu at the left you will find links to individual pages for each of these topics. If you have questions regarding any of the I&E programs or events, please contact me at the phone number or email below and I will do my best to assist you.

We offer the public a variety of environmental education programs that cover many topics such as water quality, wildlife, habitat, wetland ecology, and forestry. The collective name for all of our environmental education programs is Teaching Outdoor Awareness & Discovery, or T.O.A.D. Visit the T.O.A.D. page for complete program descriptions and a table showing how they meet state science & environmental education standards. T.O.A.D. programs are free to the public and most are developed for school children, but they can be adapted for different age groups and settings. We also have materials available for storm drain stenciling (see link at left).

The Northwoods Journal is a summertime publication (June-September) that is distributed throughout Marinette County to inform the public about natural resource & conservation issues, outdoor recreation oportunities, area events & programs, and other related topics. Click on the link at left to see more about this publication and to view back issues.

We hold the annual 4th grade Environmental Field Days at three locations (Marinette City Park, Badger Park, Lake Noqueaby Park and  Dunbar.  We sponsor the Environmental Poster Contest  - see link at left for more details. For nature and outdoor recreation opportunities, visit the Harmony Arboretum and Peshtigo Harbor Wildlife Area Trails links.
