The Land & Water Conservation T.O.A.D. (Teaching Outdoor Awareness and Discovery) Program provides environmental and conservation topics in the classroom and extends classroom learning into the outdoors. Some key areas addressed are water, soil erosion, watersheds, groundwater, fish and wildlife habitat, nature identification, and wetlands. T.O.A.D. provides field equipment and a knowledgeable staff to teach lessons and address youth groups at no charge. T.O.A.D. is available to youth groups that have an interest in learning about the natural environment and provides learning opportunities for youths of all ages. New youth groups are encouraged to inquire about T.O.A.D's schedule and availability.
