The Register in Probate office coordinates and manages the judicial duties and administrative functions of the probate court:
  • All formal probate files and administrative proceedings
  • Guardianships and Protective Placements
  • Civil Commitments
  • Adult Adoptions
  • Wills for Safekeeping

  • Need to find out if a will has been filed or a probate has been started? That information can be found on the Wisconsin Court System's Circuit Court Access.
  • Request for certified copies may be made in person, by phone, or by mail. If the request is by mail, please enclose the correct fee and a stamped, self-addressed return envelope. Payment must be received before the issuance of certified copies.
